TECHNICAL & RACE SAFETY INFORMATION
All Sierra Blanca Rangers routes are validated and supervised by the FADMES (Andalusian Mountain Sports, Climbing and Hiking Federation), ensuring that distances and elevation gains are appropriate for each category. For optimal preparation, we recommend clicking the corresponding Wikiloc button for your category. There, you can view the detailed profile, locate strategic aid stations, and download the GPX file for your sports watch or mobile device. Studying the terrain beforehand is the best way to run with confidence.
🚩SIGNPOSTING & MARKING
Safety is our priority. Throughout the race, you must exclusively follow the yellow markers that indicate your specific route. It is essential that you never deviate from the route if you see markers of another colour; remember that other trails or events may overlap in Sierra Blanca. Our yellow markers are the only official guide for Rangers. If at any point you stop seeing them, we recommend heading back to the last confirmed marking point.
💧HYDRATION & SUSTAINABILITY
Respect for Marbella’s natural environment and the health of our runners are the pillars of this event. It is mandatory to drink water throughout the race to maintain performance. Following our "Zero Waste" policy, no plastic bottles or single-use cups will be provided. Every participant must carry a water container or, at the very least, a foldable cup to refill at the aid stations.
Special notice for Cadets: Due to the distance and demand of the route (8 km), participants in this category will not be allowed to start without their own water container (hydration pack, belt, or flask). Without this mandatory kit, access to the starting pen will not be permitted for safety reasons.
Prepare your kit, study your track and we'll see you on the mountain!
